Lindsey and Jake decided to elope in the Rocky Mountains surrounded by their closest family + their dog in early August, 2023. Some of their favorite things to do together are hiking/walking with their dogs, spending time with family, and drinking coffee on their front porch on Sunday mornings. They combined together all of their favorite things for their elopement and chose Crested Butte, the Wildflower Capital of Colorado, for it's seclusion, and unmatched beauty. The two got ready separately with their parents and siblings at Elevations Hotel in Crested Butte. Lindsey shared a few first looks with her three sisters, her dad, and then with Jake. On our way to the ceremony, it just barely started to rain, so everybody grabbed some clear umbrellas which made for the most romantic ceremony shots. We took a short dinner break so Lindsey and Jake could cut their cake and share a charcuterie board (made by her sisters - how sweet!) We then made our way to some of the most beautiful fields of flowers for sunset portraits and finished their wedding day by running through the street as the sun went down over the mountains. It couldn't have been a more romantic, intimate, and perfect day!

The Nelson's also had a celebration back in their hometown of Eaton, Colorado where they invited many family and friends to celebrate with them. They danced, they laughed, and they were surrounded with so much love from their loved ones, it was the perfect finale to their wedding celebrations!
